Very nice Tianqi Mark and Period 17C Chinese Porcelain Ming Kosometsuke Bowl

Sharing with you lovely example of 17th-century ko-sometsuke sake bowl (古染付), made in Jingdezhen for the Japanese tea market in the late Ming period (Tianqi–Chongzhen, c. 1620–1640).
The exterior is an all-over geometric diaper pattern.
The repeating motif is a stylized “linked heart” or “ruyi-head” scroll pattern:

Each unit resembles two opposing heart-shaped curves joined at the tips.

It is derived from the ruyi (如意) cloud-head motif, a symbol of auspiciousness.

Arranged in tight horizontal registers.

The foot is decorated with simplified pendant leaf/ruyi strokes.

Alternating rectangular cartouches (panel-like forms)

Each cartouche is framed by curling foliated vine scrolls

The scrolls resemble stylized leaves or peony foliage

The base has a 4 character apocryphal Xuande mark.
The actual bowl was pictured in two Japanese publications.
