Condition Report: Perfect. Size: 31x5.3CM DiameterxHeight
A Japanese Satsuma earthenware charger, probably dating to the late Meiji period, circa 1900.
The centre depicts two women and a child in richly patterned robes within an interior setting. The scene is framed by elaborate raised enamel and gilt scrollwork, surrounded by a striking border of radiating green, blue and iron-red decoration.
The cream-coloured glaze displays fine crackling, particularly visible within the central panel. The reverse is undecorated.
