Porcelain dish with underglaze blue scene of a literatus in a landscape. Interesting feature on this dish is the spot at the top (rim/cavetto/wall) where the paint is ‘leaked’ into the dish when it was fired.
high unusual 4 character chenghua mark on the base. Normally these dishes are unmarked and if they are marked it’s either tianqi/chongzhen or 6 character Chenghua.
