Condition Report: Fritting, multiple interesting firing flaws and missing glaze piece in centre. Size 148x35mm diameterxheight
Beautiful serving dish in blue and white with a with a figure in a winter landscape. The dish is at first hand quite odd because of the firing flaws all over. This also makes the color a bit different tan we are used too. Still, the fritting and the shape make us think this is a nice collectors item from the ming period. The turtles in the corners are very nice also. These kind of pieces are well illustrated in the books, some examples are listed in the pictures.
