Condition Report:
A set of 5 Small Japanese Porcelain Dishes in the Japanese Taste, copies of Late Ming Period pieces which were made in Jingdezhen for the Japanese market. These small porcelain dishes were made for the Japanese tea ceremony meal, the Kaiseki. The central scene depicts a decoration of a cabbage and insect, executed in a nice underglaze blue and white. In the border a classical decoration of a single circle. Handcrafted in Japan during the 19th/20th century. On the bottom an unglazed foot rim.
