Sharing with you this very nice example of 18th century Mandarin ware. Dating to around 1740-1760.
The cylindrical body is decorated with a detailed scene of figures gathered around a table in a garden setting, framed by an elaborate scroll-edged cartouche.
Smaller panels contain flowering sprigs, a butterfly and landscape details, reserved against a finely patterned gilt ground. A gilded loop handle and gilt rim complete the decoration.
