Fine Chinese Blue and White Export Porcelain Plate – Qianlong Period
A beautifully painted Chinese export porcelain plate, dating to the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty (1736–1795). Sometimes referred to as “Imperial Quality” within export wares due to its superb painting, fine porcelain body, and attention to detail. This is a depiction of the West Lake in Hangzhou, later used on English creamware and then known as the Blue Willow pattern
Central panel with a detailed lake landscape, featuring pavilions, trees, bridges, boats, and distant mountains — executed in fine brushwork and a vibrant cobalt blue. Surrounded by a complex geometric border.
