Condition Report: Perfect condition. Size: 24.5x3.5CM DiameterxHeight
A striking antique Japanese Arita porcelain charger decorated in the richly coloured Imari palette. The broad red-ground border features elegant phoenixes among stylised clouds, flowering plants and auspicious treasures, highlighted with underglaze blue, green enamels and gilding.
The centre contains a tied-scroll or treasure motif, while the rim is finished with a delicate repeating petal border. A richly detailed and highly decorative Japanese charger, dating approximately to the 19th century.
