Sharing with you this interesting small dish dating to the second half of the 16th century. Jiajing or Wanli period. Decorated in the centre with an interesting scene of a parrot standing on what seems to be a scroll on a table. The border with floral and wave design. The backside with typical decoration for this period. Branches with flowers and also birds.
We found a similar piece in the Butler collection, dated as Tianqi. We think this one is earlier than that one.
