A pair of flattened rectangular cloisonné-enamel vases
Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century
Each vase worked in gilt and silver wire of varying gauge with a mirrored design, one side depicting tall stalks of sunflowers issuing over bamboo fences on a pale pink ground panel; the other with geese in flight over stalks of reeds on a pale blue ground panel; each vase unsigned. Each vase: 30.6cm (12in) high. (2).
