Beautiful piece from the Late Ming or Early Qing period. This Hua Gu’s shape (called 束腰花觚 Shu Yao Hua Gu) is very typical of the Shunzi period. It could be from that period, otherwise Kangxi period.
From the heritage of a former Dutch consul general (Jan Helenus Ferguson) in Beijing. He was consul in 1872-1895. Think it was acquired or given as present during that period.
The brown bamboo addition around the vase was already on the vase when acquired according to the former owner. Can be removed when wanted.
