Sharing with you this lovely pair of Chinese porcelain bowls in Blue and white. Very thinly potted.
Kangxi period piece in underglaze blue. Visible is a of elegant ladies on the outside and inside.
Both pieces are marked.
Bowl 1 > The base bears a neatly written four-character mark in underglaze blue: “青玉堂製” (Qingyu Tang Zhi) — “Made for the Hall of Green Jade” indicating private kiln production for a refined literati or collector’s hall.
Provenance: From the inventory of an old Antique Shop from Amsterdam that stopped operating in the 1980’s. Thence by decent in the family.
