Condition Report: Condition: See description.

Rare and very nice plate with a 4 clawed dragon in flight scene. He is among the clouds/ruyi. Two concentric circles at the base.

The dragon is the mightiest of creatures, master of rain and water and usually good-natured. It has a prestigious place in the astrological years and serves as a symbol principally of the Emperor and therefore the top of the pyramid of animals.

Condition: Some small rimfritting and 1 faint glaze line to underside rim. Size; 160x32mm DXH
