This is a very nice antique Chinese porcelain dish, dating back to the early 17th century and made for the Japanese market, Kosometsuke. The dish features a beautiful underglaze blue decoration with a central motif of 4 oxes, Above them is a 4 line calligraphy in Chinese characters. With thanks to a friend we have translated it as following:
The blue color has a deep and rich hue, typical of the period and highly prized by collectors.
The dish is in excellent condition.
Storage box included.
