Sharing with you this lovely early 17th century Kosometsuke dish, made for the Japanese market. Even though it seems to have had a rough live we simply fell in love with it. The painting style is very typical for this period but the scene is one we have never encountered before. Visible is a landscape scene with three figures crossing a bridge, Literati/Wise Men. Our thoughts are that this must be some kind of story but at the moment we don’t know which one.
