Beautiful Shunzhi or Early Kangxi Period Chinese Porcelain Bowl – c.1655–1670 – Marked
A charming and highly decorative blue and white porcelain bowl dating from the Shunzhi to early Kangxi period (circa 1655–1670), Qing Dynasty. This piece features a beautifully hand-painted landscape scene with mountains, trees, birds in flight and a fisherman masterfully rendered in deep cobalt blue.
The bowl is delicately potted with a flaring rim and decorated on both the interior and exterior. The interior border is adorned with a stylized band of fan-like leaves, and the base is marked with a hand-painted mark in underglaze blue, probably a conch shell.
