Condition Report: Both in perfect condition. Size 220x30mm DXH

Interesting plates. Rather unusual palette of enamels. The decoration has clear links to that seen on Straits Kakiemon wares with fishes and flowers. The colour palette bears relation to what in some books on straits porcelain is described as 19th c Arita ware in Kakiemon enamel. There is a theory in which after the Taiping Rebellion when Jingdezhen was destructed Japanese porcelain painters were employed in Jingdezhen taking with them their techniques and style.
