Found a very similar piece in a Chinese book about kosometsuke, see pictures also. What I translated and seems correct by google translate is that a similar piece is also in the Percival David collection, number 718, but the painting style is somewhat different. Ours has the same mark and found the piece on the website of the British Musuem with the following information:
