A very finely made piece for the SE Asian market, large and unusual piece. Real collectors item. The piece is marked at the belly.
A similar item is described as representing the poet Toba. Toba was a scholar, a calligrapher and a poet of Merit. He is represented here on the road to Hainan Island on a mule wearing a large hat on a road.
