Japan, complete set of 5 Imari fan-shaped dishes, Arita, Imari, 19thc. With matching box.
Arita porcelain with Imari decor in underglaze cobalt blue and enamels. All compartments have different drawings. The shape, imitating a folded fan, is inspired by a 17th century blue and white model, created in China for the Japanese market and specifically for the tea ceremony
