Condition Report: Vase 1 perfect, Vase 2 with a chip to rim. Size: 8cm high
Up for auction is this pair of miniature Chinese Canton famille rose porcelain vases, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century.
Each vase has a pear-shaped body, slender neck and flared rim. Hand-painted panels depict seated figures in interior settings, alternating with birds, butterflies and flowering branches. Colourful floral borders and scrolling green foliage frame the panels, while further figures decorate the necks. The enamels combine rose pink, iron red, turquoise blue and green, with gilt accents.
Condition: Vase 1 is in perfect condition. Vase 2 has a chip to the rim.
Size: Each vase approximately 8 cm (3.15 inches) high.
