Antique 18C Chinese Porcelain Famille Rose Plate Rooster Hunting Scene Qianlong
Out of stock
Condition Report: some chips/frits to rim, chips mainly visible underside rim. Size 22.1x2.7CM DiameterxHeight
The octagonal plate is finely decorated in famille rose enamels with a lively garden scene depicting roosters among flowering plants, peonies and ornamental rockwork. 1 of the roosters has cought a grasshopper. A small red garden fence adds depth to the composition. The cavetto is bordered by an iron-red interlinked chain pattern, while the shaped rim is filled with colourful flower sprays and finished with a gilt edge.
This particular scene is quite unusual for us, we owned 1 similar one before.
