Available for purchase is a stunning antique Chinese porcelain dish decorated in vibrant underglaze cobalt blue. The piece features a central lotus bloom surrounded by dense scrolling foliage and peony blossoms, executed in a painterly freehand style.
The lobed rim is scalloped and divided into alternating floral and leafy panels, and the reverse mirrors this motif with radiating petal designs and detailed sprays. The base bears a six-character Chenghua mark enclosed in double circles.
This dish also shows signs of age and history: restored with traditional metal staples, it demonstrates both historical use and early conservation efforts, adding character and provenance.
