What you see in the pictures is a beautifully decorated antique porcelain dish, Japanese edo period, with a blue-and-white design.

The plate has a scalloped (wavy) edge and is painted in cobalt blue on a white background. In the center, there’s a scene featuring several small mice interacting with plants and fruits. Some appear to be climbing or nibbling, giving it a lively, almost playful feel.

Around the central scene, there are circular panels along the rim, each containing either more mice or decorative patterns. These panels are separated by intricate geometric and dotted designs that fill the border, adding a lot of visual texture.

Overall, it looks like a finely crafted, hand-painted piece with a balance of detailed storytelling (the mice) and ornamental pattern work—both characteristic of Edo-period Japanese porcelain.

In our opinion this is a first half 18th century piece, or maybe even earlier.
