Here we have a very classic Kangxi dish, dating to around 1700 during the Qing dynasty. The base is marked with a Lozenge.
The porcelain dish is decorated with a central flowering garden scene and alternating floral panels around the moulded rim.
The dish was later fitted with an elaborately engraved Dutch silver swing handle, transforming it into a decorative basket or serving dish.
The silver is fully hallmarked with four Dutch marks, including the Lion 2 standard mark for 833/1000 silver, a Minerva assay-office mark, a date letter and a maker’s mark.
Very beautiful collectors item.
