An early blue and white vase from the Kangxi period with a familiar design a landscape with city wall. A fisherman is also visible. It has that wonderful cobalt blue of that period. It’s all hand potted and hand painted.

The glaze, which has a bluish tinge and looks shiny, feels so smooth, thick, and unctuous. The design is hand painted showing a fast expert hand. There is a lappet border on the neck, a line at the mouth and a double circle close to the base rim.

The lid is of a later 19th c. date and associated. We matched them.
