It’s 17th century chinese porcelain, Ming period, made for the Japanese market.

This unusual Kosumetsuke plate was used for the tea ceremony. Very nice. Comes with a nice storage box.

The dish is strongly painted with a standing Luohan, riding a reed raft in water and wearing a long robe. The sun is above his head and beautiful clouds are also painted. The backside is decorated with shifty drawn branches, typical of Kosometsuke wares.
