Condition Report: Very good condition, with some enamel loss and 1 firing flaw to base rim with small line. Size 26.5x3.3CM
Sharing with you this beautiful Qianlong period “LEAPING PEKINESE” dish of larger size.
This design, known as The Leaping Pekinese or The Pekinese and the Parrots, displays close similarities to those drawn by the Dutch draughtsman Cornelis Pronk (1691–1759). The dishes are enameled in blue with central leaping Pekingese surrounded by panels depicting a parrot, a cockatoo, a pair of doves, and a flying crane. Each are on a distinctive trellis ground.
