Condition Report: Overall Condition some chips/frits to rim and some crackle lines in base. Size 222x33mm DXH
In the center an Orange tree in a tub and a 4 letters next to it ‘V V O R’. They stand for VIVA or Vi Vat ORANJE and they first appears on orangist ceramics around 1670-1680. The original dishes from Delft have a dating around 1750-1780 and were produced in support of Prince William IV (1711-1751). At the birth of Princess Juliana on April 30, 1909, this plate was copied by the Plateelbakkerij Zuid-Holland. For further information on this subject see D.F.
