An excellent and unusual bowl for the Islamic market. Qianlong or Jiaqing in our opinion.
This is a bowl with a very nice and unusual decoration, it seems to be in the family of the painting of the bowls shown in the link below. The ‘magic square’ in the centre is divided into sixteen squares containing with what seems to be stars or maybe flowers. In the examples of bonhams there are numbers in the square.
Very interesting bowl.
