Condition Report: two chips to baserim only. Size 80mm high
A very rare tear bottle from 1882 by De Porceleyne Fles. The vase has a total height of only 7.5 cm and is decorated with an elegant floral motif. Refined decorations have also been applied to the ribbed lower edge and neck mouth.
The story is that at the time such a bottle was used to collect farewell tears and to give as a reminder with your departing loved one.
