The middel one reads: Sedulo Nomen Adest. The crest of  the Scottish family Cunningham/Harrower

P4 CUNINGHAME
Qianlong c.1770
The arms are recorded for Cuninghame of Enterkine in Co. Ayr (and the coat
also for Cunyngham of Polmaise), Argent a shake fork sable within a bordure
azure charged with eight billets of the first, with crest, A demi lion full faced
argent holding in the dexter paw a scroll and in the sinister a garb proper,
with motto ‘Sedulo numen adest’.
The family of Cuninghame of Enterkine is recorded in 1672-7, and in
Volume II of Paterson’s
Ayr (page 487). In 1772 this shield was quartered
by Rigg of Moston descended from Rig of Rigsland (see G3). The owner of
this service was probably a cousin by marriage of the owner of the Rig
service. A bookplate in the Franks Collection (7576) c.1800, of different
design but identical coat, crest and motto is engraved ‘Willm. Cuninghame

The right one:

M2 SHERIFF
Qianlong c.1750
The arms painted are of incorrect tinctures, Azure on a fess argent two roses
between in chief three griffins ‘heads erased and in base a human heart
between two annulets or. There is no crest. These arms are not recorded in
any tinctures.
The only coat which appears similar is that of Sheriff, Azure on a fess
engrailed between three griffins ‘heads erased or a fleur-de-lis between two
roses gules. This is the coat of Sheriff of Warwickshire, granted in 1559, and
of Laurence Sheriff (died 1567) who founded Rugby School. (He was a
London grocer and second Warden of the Grocers’ Company, which must
account for the family’s unusual crest, A lion’s gamb erased or, holding a
branch of dates, the fruit of the first, the pods argent and leaves vert.)
In the 18th Century the only recorded member of this family, for whom it
seems very possible this service was made, was General Sheriff who married
Margaret, daughter of Colonel Bayard and his wife, Margaret van Cortlandt,
daughter of Stephen van Cortlandt and his wife, Gertrude Schuyler. Her
younger sister was Ann, who married Stephen de Lancey, parents of General
Oliver de Lancey, Governor James de Lancey, and Anna, who married
Admiral Sir Peter Warren who had a service made at this time (see Volume I,
F10) and was General Sheriff’s first cousin by marriage.
