This dish has a beautiful brown rim, adding to it’s unique charm and character.
These kind of dishes are a testament to the skill of Japanese porcelain and ceramics craftsmen during the Edo period. They would make an excellent addition to any collection or as a statement piece in any room. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own a piece of Japanese history.
The “Fuku” mark is a Japanese pottery mark that has been used by various kilns throughout history. The mark is typically written in kanji characters and can be translated to mean “good fortune” or “happiness.”
During the Edo period (1603-1868), many pottery kilns in Japan used marks to identify their products, and the Fuku mark was one of the more commonly used ones. While it’s difficult to determine the specific maker or region of production based on just the Fuku mark, it does provide some indication of the era in which the dishes were made and adds to their historical significance.
