Fabulous rectangular Japanese earthenware Satsuma box with lid. Painted with Imperial Blue decor of flower branches, butterflies, bamboo shaped legs and highly unusual lid in the shape of a Samurai helmet. Meiji period, circa 1900.
Marked at the base, still doing research on it.
