Condition Report: Perfect. Size 415mm high
Hereby sharing with you a large baluster shaped Japanese Satsuma earthenware vase, almost in heart shape. Decorated in typical enamels and gilt, with Kannon seated on rockwork surrounded by acolytes, the reverse with dancers performing for a traveller at rest, the sides with flowerheads upon a wave-like pattern, the foot and neck with bands of stylised motifs
Meiji period, late 19th century, h. 41.5 cm – origin:
