Sharing with you this fantastic Chinese porcelain piece.

What you see here is a very rare lid from a large jar, dating to the Wanli period of the late Ming dynasty. It is of very good quality and beautifully painted with a landscape scene that was especially popular among Chinese scholars and literati at the time, and was also highly appreciated on the export market to Japan.

The decoration shows small huts and boats on a tranquil lake, creating a peaceful and atmospheric composition. A lovely and rare piece. Does someone have a Jar for it 🙂
