Sharing with you this beautiful and unsual coffee cup from the Qianlong period.
Decorated in encre de Chine, iron-red and gilt with an unusual Chinese domestic interior scene, depicting a lady seated upon a raised couch or bed, tending to her foot with a small pair of scissors, with a foot-washing basin placed before her and an attendant standing nearby. An elaborate interior with drapery, cushions, a tiled floor, lattice panels and flowering plants.
