Sharing with you this very nicely decorated Chinese Porcelain Qianlong tea set. Top level painting
Finely painted in famille rose enamels with a European subject depicting a couple wearing drapes and reclining together in a garden landscape beneath a tree, with birds in flight above. The scene is framed by an elegant gilt foliate border.
A closely related plate decorated with the same European figural scene was sold by Christie’s, Christie’s Interiors, Lot 609, described as “A Chinese Export Famille Rose and Gilt ‘Figural’ Plate,” Qianlong period (1736–1795).
