Up for auction this week is a charming Chinese blue and white export porcelain dish from the Kangxi/Yongzheng period.
The centre is painted in underglaze blue with a boy tending an ox beneath a leafy tree, surrounded by rockwork, flowering plants and swirling clouds. A decorative band frames the scene, while the broad rim features a geometric lattice border finished with a brown-dressed edge.
The reverse is undecorated, with a glazed base and an unglazed foot rim.
